The party's Central Committee has endorsed a US$1.2 billion infrastructure revival plan that will see the rehabilitation of 12,000 kilometres of roads and 240 bridges across the country over the next three years.

The plan prioritises rural roads that connect farming communities to markets, as well as key trade corridors linking Zimbabwe to its SADC neighbours. Work on the first 800 km of priority roads is expected to begin in September.

Provincial Ministers have been directed to identify critical infrastructure gaps in their jurisdictions for inclusion in the second phase of the programme.

The party has called on members to monitor project implementation in their areas and report any irregularities through the established feedback channels.
